Teaching Yellow Pod Dance

During my second year at ACE Academy I was a team teacher in Blue Pod. The yellow Pod teachers were looking for a structured movement class to be taught a couple of times a week for their students. I created a Dance class that was held on Tuesdays and Thursdays for ten minutes at the end of their recess time. We learned the chicken dance, funny disco moves, the stroll, the dance from Michael Jackson's Thriller, the Texas Two-step, and other fun dance steps. We performed as a flash mob at the school's Fall Carnival. The students were able to coordinate their very busy bodies into tiny dancers.
